多样性、股票、 & 包容

We are gathered in the ancestral and unceded territory of the O-non-dowa-gah, (pronounced: Oh-n’own-dough-wahgah) or “the people of the Great Hill.” In English, they are known as Seneca people, “the keeper of the western door.”在一起, 莫霍克人, 卡尤加人, 奥内达加人, 奥奈达市, 塔斯卡洛拉语和, the Seneca make up the sovereign Haudenosaunee (ho-dee-no-SHO-nee) Confederacy. We pay 尊重s to their elders past and present. Please take a moment to consider the many legacies of violence, 位移, genocide and migration that bring us together here today. And please join us in uncovering such truths at any and all public events.

一些任务: UHS strives to create a safe environment where all are welcome. We strive to create equity in meeting the physical and emotional needs of all of our patients in a culturally responsive way as you negotiate academics, 工作生活, and concerns for your families.

我们就快到了. Past the busyness of exams and papers is the relief of summer break and the joy of graduation. Congratulations on finishing the race and on your accomplishments!

We sign off the academic year recognizing Asian American Pacific Islander Month, Jewish American Heritage Month, and Older Americans Month. It is also Mental Health Awareness Month. As we disperse for the end of the semester, let’s remember to reflect on where we are and check on those around us.
